  1. I loved science as a kid, and as a subject-based middle school teacher, I missed getting to teach it. When I switched to a 4th grade, self-contained classroom, I had so much fun with my students and the options for science, experiments and research with them. It's even more fun with my own kids, because they love it too and we have plenty of options for experiments and learning at home!
